If you are planning on sightseeing by car in the UK, but are not sure where to begin, we have come up with a list of which roads should be chosen to travel by car and what can be seen. We hope these options help you to choose your UK road trip adventure.

The Atlantic Highway in South West England, supported by is my car insured

The A39 Highway runs from Bath to Falmouth. It is one of the longest highways in the whole of South West England. Along this highway, you will be able to enjoy the beautiful Cornish seaside resort in Newquay. You’ll appreciate the stunning scenery that can only be seen between Devon and Barnstaple.

The A39 will not get you directly to the coast. But you can still soak up the jaw-dropping scenery of the Atlantic ocean as you drive around in Wadebridge, Bude and Camelford.

Some places to visit between Cornwall and Devon include Bedruthan Steps Beach, Tintagel Castle, and Bideford.

Wild Wales in North Wales.

Consider driving your family around the Snowdonia National Park, then to Menai Straight and Angelsey.

Horses in Wild Wales

If you want to stretch your legs, then a hike along the mountain or a visit to the Swallow Falls are worth doing. If you are on the edge of the park, then drive along the Strait and check out the Caernarfon.

Some other places to visit in this area could include: Catching the train up the Snowdon Mountain. This will take you to the summit and leave you amazed at the incredible views you can enjoy.

The Norfolk Coast, Norfolk

Now this area is sure to impress. Norfolk is on the Eastern side of England and is considered to be very tranquil. We recommend a visit to the eleventh-century Cathedral church before you head to The Broads. This is full of indescribable scenery. It is also home to some wildlife and is great for taking some time out in a boat. We hope that boat on the picture below was insured like regular vehicles in the UK.

The norfolk coast

Once you have done this, go for a drive along the coastal roads and consider a stopover at Cromer. Brancaster Beach is ideal if you are looking for a relaxing time by the ocean.

Other places to check out in Norfolk include the Happisburgh Lighthouse and the many very old churches that are a must-visit.

The Best of the Moors, Yorkshire

Now, this is one very interesting area. With it comes forests and streams. Swathes of heather can be found along the moorland too. The North York Moors is a National Park that is very unique and will not be seen anywhere else. For a seaside road trip, drive through the small town of Helmsley. The Village of Staithes is also worth a visit if you need a break from driving for a few days. For this trip, we advise having additional car insurance.

To get to these places, the A170 highway is the best road to take. It will take you to Thornton-le-Dale and Pickering. Once you have gone through these towns, drive along the A169 for an outstanding drive along the coast. This will take you through Grosmont and Goathland.

If you are taking a break at Grosmont, we recommend a visit to the world’s tallest waterfalls called Mallyan Spout. There is nothing quite like this waterfall.

These are just some of the amazing sightseeing by car UK adventures you can go on if you are road tripping in the United Kingdom. We hope we have inspired you to add some of these to your bucket list. We know that you will enjoy.
